His real name is Moisés Valle, however he is known by Yumurí, an artistic name given to him by maestro Elio Revé. He is a charismatic sonero, salsero by birth, unmistakable
him for his vocal register and improvisations, with a stamp of Cubanness for others. Yumurí has ​​the quality of assuming on stage all the force that the contemporary meaning of Cuban popular music requires.

This original musician comes from a Havana family of great musical training. It is worth mentioning that one of his brothers is the prominent flutist Orlando Valle "Maraca". In 1987 he began his professional career in art and a year later he became a vocalist in the prestigious and popular Revé Orchestra, where he remained for four years as lead singer.

After these experiences and with the premise of expanding his artistic and musical projection, Yumurí decides to form his own orchestra together with three of his four musician brothers.
Since then and to date, Yumurí and his brothers monopolize the first places of the Hit Parade on national radio and television.

Owner of his own style to interpret Son and Salsa Yumurí, he has toured his music with great success throughout Japan, Europe, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Jamaica and others.

He has shared the stage with figures of the stature of Oscar de León, Tito Puente and his Orchestra, Juan Luis Guerra and La 440, Compay Segundo, and internationally renowned groups such as The Light Orchestra of Japan, among others.

His discography now includes seven productions, including: Cocodrilo de Agua Salá (1993), Provocation (1996), Forget me if you can (1999), Bilongo (2002), Salsa y Candela (2004), Yumurí Live (2005) and his most recent production Cubano Cubano (2009). With this latest album, Yumurí is once again at the top of the Cuban radio and television hit lists with the song "Pegaito a la tarima" and won the 2009 CUBADISCO Award in the Popular Dance Music category, reaffirming itself in the national taste and preference.

Baptized as "El Sonero de Cuba", YUMURÍ tirelessly tours the largest stages in Cuba from East to West where he is welcomed as a national idol, managing to summon hundreds of thousands of Cubans of all ages who fill the squares to dance and sing. their songs.

Yumurí's work as a composer is also commendable since his musical works have been recorded by international figures and orchestras such as Oscar D'León, Willie Rosario and Los Hermanos Moreno.

In the summers of 2008 and 2009, Yumurí and his brothers carried out a National Tour from the East to the West, which was a great event, as there were more than 20 concerts continuously and uninterruptedly throughout the Island that managed to summon hundreds of of thousands of Cubans of all ages who filled the squares to dance and sing their songs.

With a national popularity that attests to his talent and an international experience that spans several continents, Yumurí is shaping his professional career, making history in contemporary popular music.
