Alexander Abreu (Cienfuegos, September 6, 1976) is a Cuban singer, trumpeter, composer, music teacher and arranger. Main voice and musical director of the group Havana D' Primera. His album La Vuelta al Mundo (2015), was recognized with the 2015 Cubadisco Award and also with the award for Best Popular Dance Music Album at the event itself. Throughout his career he has participated in Crystal Festivals, Festivals in Italy and Copenhagen and many other countries (Ronnie Scout, San Sebastián de los Reyes, in Greece and Germany). Orchestras with which he has worked: Latin Groove Orchestra, Omara Portuondo, Paulito FG, Isaac Delgado, Augusto Enrique, Irakere, Gerardo Alfonso, Carlos Manuel y su Clan, Manolín el Médico de la Salsa, Danson, Mamborama Orchestra.

He has played as a guest with many world figures, especially with Oscar de León. He has also worked alongside Don Omar, Cubanito 2002 and others. In Denmark he has been invited to the Jazz Conservatory where he has participated in two of its festivals, giving master classes on trumpet and Cuban music. He is an arranger and composer for the Danson group in Denmark www.grupodanson.com and many more. He has participated in several recordings for TV and national and foreign films, among which are: Benny Moré, Un Rey en la Habana and Habana Blues. He has played on several albums that have been nominated for Latin Grammys and American Grammys.
