Francis del Rio. Cuban singer and songwriter; one of the pillars of the Interactive musical group, forming part of this band since it was created in 2001.
He was born in the province of Granma on August 13, 1965.
In 1991 he began to make his first forays into music as part of the "Sonoridad Latina" orchestra. In 1992 he moved to the city of Havana and began to work as a singer in the show "Timba Suicida" of the Caribe cabaret under the direction of Santiago Alfonso. In 1994 he is part of the "Calle 42" orchestra, under the direction of Raimundo Martinez, touring Cuba and several Brazilian cities. In 1997 he joined the group "Atache Habana", under the direction of Alberto Cartaya, making several national tours and one in South America. In 1999 he participates as a guest artist in the "Síntesis" concert for the new millennium. He participates in the X Alfonso concert and in the recording of his album. In the year 2000 he is invited to the recordings of different Cuban musicians such as: Bobby Carcassés, X Alfonso, Roberto Carcassés and Carlos Alberto Cartaya. He participates as a performer along with Descemer Bueno and Pavel Urquiza on the album "Mambo y Compañía."
In 2001 he signs a contract with Velas Records, from Brazil. He appears as a guest artist in the recordings of the group "Free Hole Negro", as well as in their live performances and in the filming of their video clip. In February of that year he moved to Mexico City to tour that country. In 2002 he collaborated on the "Síntesis" album, Habana a flor de piel, which was nominated for the Latin Grammys. In Cubadisco 2004, the Unicorn label launches its first work "Sentimiento". In 2005 he collaborated on Telmary's album "A Diario". Francis del Río is one of the pillars of the Interactive group and has been part of this band since it was created in 2001.
