Gen Marco Scognamiglio is a singer and guitarist born in Italy but with a musical training mainly acquired abroad. In fact, he spent 3 years of his life in Caracas, 3 years in Boston (where he studied at Berklee College of Music) and New York, and 15 years in London.

An artistic journey made up mostly of meetings, concerts and musical projects that have covered multiple genres, from Latin music to jazz and progressive rock. Gen's career began in London when in 1994 he released the album entitled "Toda la culpa de Franca". It will be followed by "Musica da bar" published by Irma Records in 2011. "Musica da Sex" is his latest production that will be released in all stores for digital download in June 2016.

In this new project, Gen goes to discover a sound of progressive rock without abandoning a strong component of composition. A journey that draws, re-proposing them, the stages of his motley musical path that starts from rock, crosses jazz and reaches pop that in some aspects recalls the master Paolo Conte to the sounds of the West Coast of Steely Dan, soulful echoes . of the most cultured English progressive rock.

The singer of this album has the creative support of the internationally renowned jazz players that make up the High Five Quintet: Fabrizio Bosso on trumpet, Luca Mannutza on Fender Rhodes piano, Lorenzo Tucci (former Mario Biondi collaborators on "Handful of Soul") ) on drums, Luca Bulgarelli (historic collaborator of Sergio Cammariere) on bass and Max Ionata on sax.
